PREAMBLE

Opposite Yellow Wall and to the left of Eyeball Wall is a black slab. This must be one of the few cliffs in Britain to be threatened by a conglomerate cornice!

You'll need to find some way of lowering off from the top of these two routes! Pegs?

THE ROUTES

  1. Don't Look Up - E3,5c **
    Start just right of an earthy crack on the left side of the slab. Climb to a narrow ledge, move up a steep section, PR, and continue to an abseil point, PB, TB. 22m.

  2. A Shadow Hanging Over Me - E2,5b **
    Start at the right-hand earthy crack. Climb up the crack then step out left onto the slab. Go up a short steep crack until moves over calcite encrustations, 2PR, lead to the steep upper section. Abseil off. 22m.
