PREAMBLE

A collection of good non-tidal crags above Mewslade Bay. The best of these is Upper Jacky's Tor.

ACCESS

Access to the upper crags is easiest from Pitton Farm car park (honesty box). Turn left (south) off the B4247 at Pitton to Pitton Farm (GR 427877). Car parking is available (honesty box). Strike left from the entrance to the car park. Walk a short distance down a farm track then bear right past farm buildings to gain the path leading through a narrow valley to the East end of Mewslade Bay (7 mins walk). Just before the bottom of the valley, a narrow but well worn path trends rightward (west). Follow it. Grey Wall is above you on your right after 100m and Upper Jacky's Tor and Rolly Bottom Buttress will be visible on your left after 500m.

If coming from the west (Fall Bay), strike leftwards (east) from the wooden ladder to reach the obvious pinnacles on the west side of Upper Jacky’s Tor. If coming from Mewslade, strike right (west) up the non-tidal path above the beach to reach the first substantial area (Grey Wall). The crags are reached from each other via the cliff top paths.

To find your crag, type the name in to the Filter Markers box (top right corner of the map).
