Lavernock Point

Perhaps better suited to the Cardiff area, Lavernock point provides typical horizontal limestone / mudstone interbedded strata.

Approach through the iron gate leading down a dry valley from the car park. Cross the armoured sewage pipe to immediately reach the rock.

The current traverse is harder than it looks due to the soapy nature of the footholds on the mudstone band.

Marconi Plays the Bongos 35ft. Fr6b+

Left to right traverse, using the top of the limestone band and keeping feet low. Starts just round the corner (west) and finishes where the seaweed starts on the handrail just by a shattered corner (obvious). Mildly more fun and much harder than it looks
