First Ascents

64. Kick The Dog Next Door 24m E2,5c

A serious route. Start 3m left of the chimney of Continental Touch at a cleaned face. Gain a small tree and ledge, then climb more steeply up the centre of the wall above.

65. Continental Touch 27m E1,5b

Climb the chimney/groove on the left side of the main buttress to the top, PR.

66. Torrents Of Spring 26m E3,5c 2pt

Start left of Torrid Nights beneath the large cave, reached by scrambling up vegetated slabs. Climb leftwards out of the cave, then up a short, shattered wall to a horizontal crack, TR. Continue more steeply into a groove below an overhang. Traverse right beneath the overhang, to finish left of the finish of Torrid Nights, or use 2PA and climb the roof.

67. Torrid Nights 30m E3,5c *

Climb easily for 9m then step up right and back left to a sapling. Move into a corner, then right again to an arête. Pull over a bulge and up left to a small corner. Finish up and left.

68. Bitterstrain 13m E1,5c

Scramble up to a belay area right of Torrid Nights and 6m left of an enormous wedged boulder. Move boldly up on sloping holds to a crack, then move up and left to large blocks. From here a difficult move gains a PB. Abseil.

69. Obscuritree 15m E1,5c

Start on some blocks above the large wedged boulder. Make a difficult move over an overhang, PR, step up left to a small tree, then past a TR to another small tree. Step up and right, PR, to yet another small tree. Finish direct.

70. New Human 42m VS,4b

Start just left of the lowest overhang at the centre of the face. Climb across the overhung slab moving left under the roof to a cave. Trend right to another cave and follow the groove above to the top.

Start at a small slab 6m right of Torrid Nights.

1. 18m Climb the slab and groove above, moving left to a TB.

2. 15m Climb the overhang above. Continue up the slab above 2 PRs, to a holly tree. Abseil.

Start 4.5m right of Black Fox. Climb the slab/wall and go through the left side of a roof with difficulty. Abseil.

Climb the slab and groove 3m right of Cool Hand Fluke to a roof. Up over this to a tree. Abseil off.

The right side of the wall right of Running Blind. Hanging rope belay recommended. There is a slightly harder alternative up the arête to the right.
